The windstorm that hit West Seattle last winter took a section of our roof clean off and left the attic exposed to the rain for a full day before we could get anyone out. They showed up, secured a temporary cover, and started drying the attic space before mold could even think about setting in. From there Green Planet Restoration of Seattle rebuilt the roof section and repainted the ceiling. A neighbor noticed water under the front door and called us. Green Planet Restoration of Seattle got into the house the same day, and before touching any of the actual water damage, their pack-out team carefully boxed up and inventoried everything on that floor our books, my wife's pottery collection, even the kids' school projects on the fridge. They contained the bathroom, tore out the tile and drywall, treated the framing, and rebuilt it with a proper vapor barrier this time. We heard the crash from the living room and thought a tree had come through. This company tarped the opening that same night so we wouldn't get a second round of rain damage before repairs could even start. Over the next few weeks they rebuilt the chimney, replaced the attic insulation. My wife keeps saying the house looks better than it did before the storm.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. In May,  2025 we suffered catastrophic water damage when the fresh water line to a toilet broke during the night. Our main floor and finished basement suffered extensive water damage.  We contacted Green Planet Restoration after turning off the water to the house and Olman arrived at our house within 4 hours to start the drying out process. Several more people arrived after that to assist. David Malka arrived that same day to discuss the restoration and rebuild process. We found David to be very professional yet compassionate at the same time.  David was instrumental in helping us to deal with the insurance company and after a period of  several months our claim was assigned to the Large Loss Team. Green Planet (David) handled everything from securing materials to hiring subcontractors to complete our rebuild. All of the wood flooring on the main floor was replaced. The Kitchen was gutted and rebuilt with new cabinets and counter tops.  The basement required new sheet rock, flooring, cabinets and paint. We are very happy with the result. Suffering extensive damage like we did was pretty traumatic, but Green Planet made the whole process so much better.  David is an honest, caring guy who was a pleasure to work with. It was our home office down there, and the smell alone made me want to burn the carpet. I called Green Planet Restoration of Seattle in a panic and they didn't flinch suited up, extracted the contaminated water, and disposed of everything. They sanitized the whole space with hospital-grade disinfectant and ran air scrubbers for three days straight. We'd lived in our Ballard craftsman for six winters and never had an issue, until an ice dam formed along the north side of the roof and water started seeping into the guest bedroom ceiling. Green Planet Restoration of Seattle came out the next morning, cut into the ceiling to check for hidden moisture. They dried the space, replaced the damaged insulation and patched the roofline so it wouldn't happen again with the next freeze. They were able to come out the next day, and David (the owner)) kindly walked me through what needed to take place, and how long.  Mind you it was Christmas week! In September, we found a damp patch of carpet in our basement and a slow leak in our HVAC unit. This spread to two rooms, damaging the carpet and big chunks of drywall. We called several emergency water restoration companies, but Green Planet Restoration was the only one able send someone out to access our situation that day. David, our field supervisor, thoroughly inspected the damage and gave us an honest and careful outlook about the restoration process. Optimistically planning on insurance coverage, but realistically expecting denial, he made sure that all work and costs were approved by us before and throughout the insurance process. Thankfully we ended up being covered, and David helped negotiate on our behalf. Olman, our project manager, was attentive and communicative. He kept us up to date with all the work and progress, and helped us coordinate with the workers we had coming and going for several weeks. The crew working on the house was excellent, too! Giovanni walked us through the work, and helped us when we wanted to make adjustments. We made some pretty drastic changes to our spaces, installing LVP in both rooms and painting the wall and ceiling a dark color in one of them. These big upgrades were easily handled. At no point did we ever feel like we were left hanging or out of the loop. Even throughout the payment process, with several hiccups with our insurance checks, they were kind, patient, and understanding.  Verified I met with Oman Lima this morning. He went into my crawl space and not only addressed the musty smell from mold but found the cause which is a leaking pipe. (Out of three bids he's the only one to address the problem) He set me up with a plumber who is coming tomorrow. He gave me a great bid to clean out my crawl space. Really a great guy!
