Contents restoration

Restore first. Replace only what cannot be saved.

Contents are everything in the house that is not attached to it: furniture, electronics, clothing, photos, documents, artwork, appliances, books and toys. Many of them can come back from smoke or water with the right cleaning method.

We inventory every item with photos and barcodes before it leaves, restore it in our facility using methods matched to the material, keep it in locked climate-controlled storage during reconstruction, and deliver it back when you are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Contents restoration questions, answered.

What can be restored after a fire or flood?

More than most people expect: furniture, many electronics, clothing and textiles, photos and documents, artwork, antiques, appliances, books and toys. We assess each item and tell you what can come back.

Can water-damaged electronics be saved?

Often, if they are powered off and cleaned quickly. We use specialized cleaning and corrosion control. Items that cannot be restored are documented for your claim.

Can you save wet photos and documents?

In many cases, yes. Freeze-drying stabilizes wet paper and photos before mold and sticking set in, and photos can be restored afterward.

How do I know what happened to each item?

Every item is photographed and barcoded at pack-out, and you can access the full digital inventory throughout the process.

Where are my things kept during reconstruction?

In locked, climate-controlled storage with steady temperature and humidity, until your home is ready for delivery.

Does insurance cover contents restoration?

Contents are usually covered under the personal property part of a homeowners policy for covered losses. We bill major carriers directly and provide the inventory your adjuster needs.
